A total of 329 of 400 lots sold, achieving an 82.25 per cent clearance rate, with a gross of $5,311,114 and an average of $16,143.
This year marked the largest catalogue of horses ever offered at the Nutrien Supreme, with widespread interest from buyers travelling from across Australia and participating online, reinforcing the sale’s national reach and reputation.
Leading the sale was Lot 457, Spin Mia Round, who topped both the ridden and overall sale at $100,000, reflecting the premium placed on proven, competition-ready horses.
Vendor Corrine O’Dwyer said the mare had been a standout from the beginning and held special significance.
“She’s been special since day one,” she said.
“We kept her on track for the snafflebit, did the snafflebit Futurity… she let me learn more about cutting and I put my hand down in the rookies on her.”
Ms O’Dwyer said it was important to see the mare move on to a home where she would continue to be campaigned.
“I’m so glad she’s gone to a good home and someone that’s going to campaign her and we’ll get to see the best of her.”
The strength of the broodmare market was evident, with Lot 64 Metalena topping that section at $70,000, while the future of the industry also drew strong interest, with Lot 224 Serene Metallic Cat the highest selling yearling at $45,000.
Among the ridden horses, Lot 314 Nonda Compass led the geldings, selling for $50,000, while the stallion market was topped by Lot 354 Boobook O’Grady Gold at $28,000.
Nutrien spokesperson Simon Booth said the results reflected both the quality of the offering and the ongoing role the sale plays in supporting the industry.
“The clearance rate and overall consistency across the catalogue shows there is still strong demand for quality performance horses,” Mr Booth said.
“We’re seeing buyers invest with confidence, whether it’s in proven horses ready to compete or young stock with the pedigree and potential to develop.”
Mr Booth said it was particularly encouraging to see horses sold through Nutrien sales continuing to perform at the highest level.
“One of the most rewarding aspects is seeing horses that have come through this sale ring return to compete and succeed at events like the Nutrien Supreme,” he said.
“That connection between sale and performance is what keeps the industry moving forward.” He said delivering a platform for both vendors and buyers remained a priority.
“These sales are about more than just the transaction, they’re about creating opportunity, supporting livelihoods and ensuring the long-term strength of the performance horse sector.”
With strong results across broodmares, ridden horses and young stock, and the largest catalogue to date attracting nationwide interest, the 2026 Nutrien Equine Supreme Sale has once again reinforced its position as a key event on the performance horse calendar.
