At CDI Munich, Hayley Beresford and Javino S (Davino x Briljant) will be the first combination to canter down the centreline at 8:40pm (AEST). The combination recently finished sixth at a national competition in Germany with 68.367%.
Also in Munich, Simone Pearce and Will Marq (Rio Marq x Lanciano) aim to continue their strong form following their personal best score posted earlier this month of 72.087%. They are scheduled to enter the arena at 9:06pm (AEST).
At CDI Hamburg (Al Shira’aa Deutsches Spring – und Dressur Derby), Kristy Oatley and Rosenlorbeer (Glock’s Romanov x Welt Hit II) will compete at 9:15pm (AEST). Kristy is the sole Australian representative at the event in Hamburg, and it will mark her first CDI appearance with Rosenlorbeer since 2022.
Back at CDI Munich, Jemma Heran and Total Recall (Totilas x Sandro Hit) are set to start at 10:29pm (AEST) as the final Australian combination competing at the venue. The pair have already achieved FEI minimum eligibility requirements (Grand Prix scores of 66%+) for the FEI World Championships and will now be aiming to reach the Australian selection criteria of scores of 68%+.
Meanwhile in Denmark, Alanna Richards and Mist of Titanium OLD (Millenium x Diamonit) will make their CDI Grand Prix debut at CDI Aalborg. The combination impressed during the Wellington season, they debuting in a national-level Grand Prix for 69.565%. They are scheduled to begin their test at 1:35am (AEST) on Friday 15 May.
Competition across all three events will continue Friday and throughout the weekend.
Warwick McLean and Le Special unfortunately had to pull out of CDI Munich after a serious truck collision – thankfully no serious injuries occurred.
