Earlier this month, the results were announced for Round 2 of the 2026 Virtus Equestrian Video Competition – and as was the case in Round 1, Australian competitors achieved once again some outstanding results.
This round showcased impressive skill, dedication, and partnership between athletes and their horses, with competitors from Australia, UK, USA, and Egypt taking part.
Several Australians won and placed across the levels, proving once again the country’s status as a leader in Virtus Equestrian sport.
Sarah Sherwood won both the II1 tests (FEI Grade IV Novice A and FEI Grade IV Intermediate A) riding her long-time partner Dicavalli Royal Guess, achieving scores of 77% and 75.2% respectively.
Also contesting the II1 division, Jaydan Pilmore was third in the FEI Grade IV Intermediate A, Catherine Viney was fifth in the FEI Grade IV Intermediate A, and Isabella Parisi contested both tests for fourth and sixth place.
A double win also went to Sui Watts in the II2 classes (FEI Para Dressage Challenge II/Grade III Para Foundation Test and FEI Grade III Novice A tests) with scores of 71.07% and 69.38% riding pony Kingswood Maximillion.
In the II3, Phoebe Roche placed second behind British winners in both the FEI Grade IV Novice A and FEI Grade lV Intermediate A tests with Romper Stomper on scores of 72.25% and 74.6%.
Grace Murphy-Ryan rode Pemberton Show Biz in the FEI Grade IV Intermediate A for fourth place on 72%.
In the Development Athletes division, Layne Auer won the Grade II Intermediate A and Grade II Novice A tests, achieving consistent scores with horse Agent Albert.
